Matt's 32nd Birthday!

We creatures of habit find a good tradition and stick with it! Such is the family football watching party we have each year for Matt's birthday. Since the big day is January 19, there are always playoffs to watch and pizza to eat. (Though unfortunately not always Chicago Bears to cheer on.) We had a fun day with some great food. This was one of the first times since Matt finished the cabinet he built last summer that we could use it for it's originally intended purpose: somewhere to put the pizza boxes!

Matt got what every young man needs--school clothes, play clothes and games for the Wii! He had a great day and I'm sure we'll do the same thing next year!

NU Year's

Did you see the NU v. Auburn Outback Bowl? What a game! We lost, but still! We had a really nice start to the new year (well, other than the final score) by watching the game at Jenny's, along with friends Eric and Ryan. We had a great breakfast and probably woke up the entire condo complex with our screaming and jumping up and down! Don't you dig the new Wildcathead? It will be making other appearances, have no doubt!

Christmas Past

A little overdue here. . .(thanks for the added inspiration, Lisa)! We had a great Christmas, spending a great couple of days with the Mullers and Knoepkes. As has become our tradition, we had breakfast with John and Carol (cinnamon rolls!!!) on Christmas Eve, and then headed to Aunt Leila's for the big Muller Christmas Eve with the cousins. Then on Christmas we had breakfast and present-opening with Mom, Dad and Grandma Muller, and then we spent the rest of the day for dinner and more present-opening (we=spoiled!) with John and Carol.

We had a really nice time and got in touch with our inner children even more than usual as Santa Muller brought me the "adult Legos" I wanted and Mom and Dad Knoepke gave us a Wii! While the gifts received are not the point of course, we sure are enjoying them an awful lot! Thanks to everyone for a great holiday!

Here are a bunch of pictures, including the Muller tweak on the "Ugly Christmas Sweater" trend - we do "Ugly Christmas Eve Socks!" And the last one is indeed my husband - just call him "SnowMatt."
